Coworking Space Occupies Only 0.7% Of Houston Office Market, Report Finds

Houston coworking space developer Mike Thakur, founder of The Work Lodge, has plans to “circle the city” with more of what he calls “alternative professional workspaces.”

Since 2015, Thakur has opened two Work Lodge locations in suburban Houstonand one in Dallas. Their vibe is more boutique hotel than “glorified coffee shop,” he says, with a mix of both shared and private offices. Located near where people live to cut their commutes, the suburban setups are meant to support member and tenant quality of life as well their business needs, he says. As part of the package, membership also helps the privately-owned company aid a non-profit with global reach.
